Agiflo OZ Tablet belongs to the group of medicines called antibiotics used to treat urinary tract infections, bacterial infections by inflammation of the peritoneum, eye and ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, sexually transmitted infections, respiratory infections, vaginal infections, protozoan infections, intra-abdominal infections, and infections during surgical procedures. It is also indicated in the treatment of diarrhoea of mixed infections in adults. Agiflo OZ Tablet is a combination of two antibiotic drugs, namely: Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase which is required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Together, Agiflo OZ Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections. Agiflo OZ Tablet is a broad-spectrum antibiotic effective against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Agiflo OZ Tablet contains Ofloxacin and Ornidazole. Ofloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase which is required for the production of DNA replication, transcription, and repair. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Together, Agiflo OZ Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
Agiflo OZ Tablet may cause photosensitivity (sensitivity to sunlight) and can make you sunburn easily. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or tanning beds. Always wear protective clothing and sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher before going out.
It is recommended to complete the course of Agiflo OZ Tablet even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection. To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Agiflo OZ Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it.
Co-administration of magnesium and aluminium-containing antacids, sucralfate, and iron-containing preparations with Agiflo OZ Tablet may reduce the absorption. Therefore, you are advised to take Agiflo OZ Tablet two hours before such preparations.
Do not take Agiflo OZ Tablet on your own as self-medication may lead to antibiotic-resistance in which antibiotics fail to act against specific bacterial infections.
Consult your doctor before taking Agiflo OZ Tablet if you have diabetes, as Agiflo OZ Tablet may cause hypoglycaemia (low blood sugar levels). Regularly monitor blood sugar levels while taking Agiflo OZ Tablet to avoid unpleasant events.
