Verified Ingredients and Effects

Uses:

Fungal and bacterial skin infections.

Medicinal Benefits:

Candidac BN Cream comprises of Clotrimazole, Neomycin, and Betamethasone. Clotrimazole is an antifungal medication that stops the growth of fungi by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Neomycin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic and treats bacterial and fungal infections of the skin. It prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions and has broad-spectrum activity against aerobic Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Betamethasone is a corticosteroid and blocks prostaglandin's production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. With its anti-inflammatory and vasoconstrictive properties, Betamethasone treats eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis.

FAQs

Candidac BN Cream consists of Betamethasone, Clotrimazole, and Neomycin. Betamethasone, a corticosteroid, works by blocking prostaglandin's production (chemical messengers) that make the affected area red, swollen and itchy. Clotrimazole, an antifungal drug, stops fungi's growth by causing damage and leakage to the fungal cell membrane. Neomycin is an antibiotic that prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out vital functions.

Candidac BN Cream is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. If Candidac BN Cream gets into your eyes, nose, mouth or vagina, rinse with water. Do not put a bandage or a dressing on the affected area while using Candidac BN Cream unless advised by the doctor. Do not apply Candidac BN Cream on sunburns, open wounds, lesions and blisters.

Candidac BN Cream should be used with caution and under doctor's supervision if you have pituitary gland diseases, cataract or glaucoma, diabetes, liver and kidney diseases. Using corticosteroids (Betamethasone) on the skin may sometimes cause systemic immunosuppression while treating infections. This condition may worsen the infections, hence Candidac BN Cream should be carefully used with patients with active infections.

Candidac BN Cream is not recommended for treating diaper rash, since Betamethasone can cause adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome and intracranial hypertension (increased pressure in the brain) in infants due to systemic absorption.

Candidac BN Cream may not work for skin infections like viral skin infections, such as chickenpox, shingles, cold sores or herpes simplex, bacterial infections like impetigo, lesions caused by tuberculosis or syphilis, acne vulgaris (spots), rosacea, perioral dermatitis (red spotty rash around the mouth) and widespread plaque psoriasis. Please reach out to a doctor for more information.

You are required to maintain at least a three-hour gap after application of Candidac BN Cream if you are using more than one topical medicine.
