Uses:
Constipation
Medicinal Benefits:
Egee Oral Suspension belongs to the group of medicines called laxatives used to treat constipation. It is a combination of two laxatives (stool softeners), namely: milk of magnesia (osmotic laxative) and liquid paraffin (lubricant). Milk of magnesia works by drawing water into the intestine through osmosis, while liquid paraffin has lubricant properties that help retain water and fat in the stools. Together, they make the stool soft and slippery making it easier to pass.

Egee Oral Suspension does not help with weight loss. It does not reduce the absorption of calories or nutrients. Egee Oral Suspension may cause dehydration which feels like weight loss. Drink enough liquids to prevent dehydration.
Diarrhoea might occur if Egee Oral Suspension is taken in larger doses. Drink lots of fluids and eat fibre-rich food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in your stools (tarry stools) or experience excess diarrhoea consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
Overuse or prolonged use of Egee Oral Suspension may cause dehydration. Severe dehydration may cause weakness, tremors, fainting, and blurry vision. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience these symptoms. Drink enough fluids to avoid dehydration.
Consult your doctor before taking Egee Oral Suspension with other medicines as Egee Oral Suspension may increase the rate of gastrointestinal transit, which may affect the absorption of other orally administered medicines given simultaneously.
