Ekorise Dry Syrup belongs to the group of medicines called probiotics used to treat and prevent diarrhoea, including rotaviral diarrhoea in children. Ekorise Dry Syrup contains ‘Saccharomyces boulardii’, a friendly micro-organism that helps fight disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as yeast and bacteria. Thereby, Ekorise Dry Syrup helps in treating diarrhoea. Ekorise Dry Syrup may also be used for acne, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, Helicobacter pylori infection, traveller’s diarrhoea, diarrhoea in people with HIV/AIDS, and necrotising enterocolitis (a serious intestinal disease in premature infants).
Ekorise Dry Syrup helps in fighting disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as bacteria. Thus, it helps in treating diarrhoea.
To treat your condition effectually, continue taking Ekorise Dry Syrup for as long as advised. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while taking Ekorise Dry Syrup.
Ekorise Dry Syrup is yeast (fungus). Therefore, taking Ekorise Dry Syrup with anti-fungal medicines might decrease the effectiveness of Ekorise Dry Syrup. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns regarding this.
Do not take Ekorise Dry Syrup for longer durations unless advised by the doctor. Also, avoid exceeding the indicated dose of Ekorise Dry Syrup without the doctor’s advice. Talk to your doctor if the condition recurs or there is no symptomatic improvement.
Ekorise Dry Syrup can be taken with antibiotics if advised by the doctor. However, you are advised to maintain a gap of 2 hours between Ekorise Dry Syrup and antibiotics.
