Emolac-250 Capsule belongs to the group of medicines called probiotics used to treat and prevent diarrhoea, including rotaviral diarrhoea in children. Emolac-250 Capsule contains ‘Saccharomyces boulardii’, a friendly micro-organism that helps fight disease-causing organisms in the gut, such as yeast and bacteria. Thereby, Emolac-250 Capsule helps in treating diarrhoea. Emolac-250 Capsule may also be used for acne, antibiotic-associated diarrhoea, Clostridium difficile-associated diarrhoea, Helicobacter pylori infection, traveller’s diarrhoea, diarrhoea in people with HIV/AIDS, and necrotising enterocolitis (a serious intestinal disease in premature infants).

Do not take Emolac-250 Capsule for longer durations unless advised by the doctor. Also, avoid exceeding the indicated dose of Emolac-250 Capsule without the doctor’s advice. Talk to your doctor if the condition recurs or there is no symptomatic improvement.
Emolac-250 Capsule can be taken with antibiotics if advised by the doctor. However, you are advised to maintain a gap of 2 hours between Emolac-250 Capsule and antibiotics.
