Composition:
DOMPERIDONE-10MG + LANSOPRAZOLE-30MG
Uses:
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Peptic ulcers and Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
Medicinal Benefits:
Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule is suggested for the treatment of certain stomach related problems like ulcers and acid reflux. This medicine provides relief in heartburn and reduces the risk associated with acid's damage to the stomach and food pipe. It also reduces the risk of cancer of food pipe, a taste of acid in the mouth, chest pain, and teeth damage. Domperidone helps to increase the movement of the bowel in the intestine. It also treats vomiting and nausea caused by the usage of other medications. While Lansoprazole helps reduce frequent heartburn that happens for 2 or more days.
Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule is a combination of two medicines namely: "Domperidone" and "Lansoprazole". Domperidone increases the movement of food in the stomach which helps to avoid the problems related to indigestion, bloating, and fullness. This medicine also restricts the action of a chemical that is responsible for the feeling of vomiting and nausea. On the other side, Lansoprazole works by blocking the action of proton pumps that are involved in producing stomach acid. Thereby, Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and prevents excess acid from flowing back into the food pipe. Thus, both medicines in combination provide relief from heartburn symptoms related to acid reflux.
Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule may cause diarrhoea as a common side effect. However, if the condition persists or worsens with fever, watery or bloody stools or consistent stomach pain, please consult a doctor. Also, drink plenty of water while taking Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule to prevent dehydration.
Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule may cause low levels of magnesium in the blood if taken for more than 3 months. If you experience involuntary muscle contractions, tiredness fits, increased heart rate or dizziness while taking Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule, please consult a doctor immediately as these might be signs of low magnesium levels. However, regular blood tests are recommended to monitor magnesium levels in the blood while taking Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule.
You are not recommended to take Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule with antifungals such as ketoconazole or itraconazole as it may reduce the effectiveness of antifungal against fungal infections. However, please consult your doctor before taking Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule with other medicines.
Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule should be used with caution in osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones) patients as it may worsen the condition especially if Lansazol-D 10mg/30mg Capsule is taken for more than 1 year as it increases the risk of fracture of the spine, hip or wrist. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis or take any steroids which may increase the risk of osteoporosis.
It is best to take whole grains food like brown rice, green vegetables, sweet potatoes, and carrots to reduce acidity.
