Composition:
CHLORAMPHENICOL-125MG
Uses:
Bacterial infections
Medicinal Benefits:
Ochlor Syrup belongs to the group of antibiotic medicines used to treat bacterial infections. It is used to treat typhoid fever and other dangerous infections where other antibiotics are ineffective. Ochlor Syrup contains ‘Chloramphenicol’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for vital bacterial functions. Thus, it kills the bacteria and helps treat and prevent the spread of infections. Ochlor Syrup is a broad-spectrum antibiotic active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

Diarrhoea might be a side-effect Ochlor Syrup. Drink lots of fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. If you find blood in stools (tarry stools) or if you experience severe diarrhoea, consult your doctor. Do not take anti-diarrheal medicine on your own.
It is recommended to complete the course of Ochlor Syrup even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).
Ochlor Syrup may cause blood problems in some cases, which could lead to slow healing or infections. Consult your doctor if you have any concerns. Regular blood tests are advised while taking Ochlor Syrup.
Use Ochlor Syrup only as prescribed by the doctor. Do not use Ochlor Syrup for longer durations. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve or if it worsens.
