Medicinal Benefits:
Ofdon OZ Tablet is used to treat diarrhea caused by infection of the digestive tract. It can effectively control bowel movements, treat infection, and prevent the recurrence of symptoms. It is usually prescribed along with fluid and electrolyte therapy. It is also advised to take plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
Ofdon OZ Tablet contains Ofloxacin, Ornidazole, and Lactobacillus. Ofloxacin is a quinolone antibiotic and inhibits DNA gyrase required for the replication, transcription, and repair of the DNA of the bacteria. Ornidazole inhibits protein synthesis and leads to cell death, thereby kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus restores the good bacteria in the gut, which is destroyed by the antibiotic. Together, Ofdon OZ Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.
Ofdon OZ Tablet should not be taken with antacids, or medicines containing iron or zinc at the same time. Maintain an interval of 2 hours between the two medicines.
