Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's is a combination of two drugs: Ceftriaxone (antibiotic) and Tazobactum (beta-lactamase inhibitor) used to treat several bacterial infections. Ceftriaxone is a broad-spectrum antibiotic that acts against both aerobic (grow in the presence of oxygen) and anaerobic (grow in the absence of oxygen) gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria. It interferes with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damages the bacterial cell wall and kills bacteria. Tazobactum is a beta-lactamase inhibitor that enhances the activity of ceftriaxone and decreases resistance.
Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's contains Ceftriaxone and Tazobactum. You are not recommended to take Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's with streptomycin as co-administration of these two medicines may increase the risk of kidney damage. However, please consult your doctor before taking Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's with other medicines to adjust the dose appropriately.
Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's may cause diarrhoea as a common side effect. However, if the condition persists, worsens or notices blood or mucus in stools, avoid taking Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's and consult a doctor immediately.
Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's is not used to treat viral infections. Suprava TZ 562.5 mg Injection 1's is an antibiotic which is used to treat only bacterial infections.
