Composition:
GABAPENTIN-300MG + MECOBALAMIN-500MCG
Uses:
Neuropathic pain, Epilepsy (fits)
Medicinal Benefits:
Thiahep GB Tablet 10's belongs to a group of medicines called 'anticonvulsants' used to treat partial seizures (epilepsy) and various conditions of nerve pain/damage like post-herpetic neuralgia and restless leg syndrome in adults and children above 3 years of age. Thiahep GB Tablet 10's is a combination of two medicines: Gabapentin (anti-convulsant), Mecobalamin (vitamin B12). Gabapentin treats seizures by balancing a chemical messenger in the brain called a neurotransmitter, thereby decreasing its abnormal excitement in the brain. Mecobalamin is a Vitamin B12 that helps rejuvenate and protect damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Together, Thiahep GB Tablet 10's helps provide relief from neuropathic pain caused due to nerve damage and other neurological disorders.
People taking Thiahep GB Tablet 10's should be closely monitored for suicidal thoughts or behaviour. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor immediately if you experience suicidal tendencies.
Viral infection, fever, nausea, vomiting, trouble speaking and jerky movements are the common side effects of gabapentin present in Thiahep GB Tablet 10's.
If Thiahep GB Tablet 10's is taken along with antacid medicines containing aluminium and magnesium, it may lower the stomach's absorption of Thiahep GB Tablet 10's. To avoid this, maintain a gap of two hours between Thiahep GB Tablet 10's and antacid medicines.
The nerves in the periphery of your body, like the nerves in your fingertip and toes are known as peripheral nerves, and any injury to one or more of these nerves is known as peripheral neuropathy. These nerves transmit messages from/to the brain and spinal cord to/from the rest of the body. Damage caused to these nerves stops them from working properly, and the messages moving between your central and peripheral nervous system get disturbed.
Thiahep GB Tablet 10's is not a sedative drug. However, it has been known to cause drowsiness and sleepiness. You should not take up activities like driving and activities which require mental alertness along with physical coordination.
Yes, Thiahep GB Tablet 10's may rarely cause weight gain, but is not experienced by every one. Follow regular diet and exercise in order to maintain healthy weight.
