Composition:
TOBRAMYCIN-80MG
Uses:
Bacterial infections
Medicinal Benefits:
Tobo Injection belongs to a class of drugs called aminoglycoside antibiotics. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. It reduces the infection by inhibiting bacterial growth. It irreversibly binds to a site on the bacterial ribosomes (ribosomes are responsible for protein synthesis), inhibiting protein formation. Proteins are essential for bacterial growth. So, if bacteria cannot make proteins, it will eventually die.
Tobo Injection is mostly used for the treatment of eye infections. It is not recommended for the treatment of ear infections. However, it should be used for any indication only when prescribed by a doctor.
Tobo Injection may improve within 2 to 3 days of administration. However, recovery depends on different factors such as age, the severity of the infection, and comorbidities.
It is recommended to use Tobo Injection in children only with a doctor's advice.
Do not take any medications without consulting a doctor if you are allergic to penicillin.
Tobo Injection injection can cause hearing loss, especially in elderly people. It may be permanent sometimes. So, contact your doctor immediately if you have vertigo, dizziness, or tinnitus (ringing in the ears).
Tobo Injection contains tobramycin which is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It acts by inhibiting bacteria's growth. It binds to the proteins in the bacteria, disrupting the cell functions, and eventually leading to bacterial death.
Before using Tobo Injection, you must inform your doctor if you have any allergy to Tobo Injection or any antibiotics or if you are taking any other medicines.
