Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet contains Doxycycline and Lactobacillus. Doxycycline prevents the synthesis of essential proteins which are necessary for the survival of the bacteria, thereby kills the bacteria. Lactobacillus is a microorganism that helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or antibiotic use. Together, Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet helps in treating bacterial infections.

Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet is unlikely to cause diarrhoea as it contains lactobacillus, a friendly bacteria. Lactobacillus is a probiotic which helps in restoring the balance of good bacteria in the gut, which may have gotten upset due to infections or the use of antibiotics. Thereby helps in preventing diarrhoea.

It is recommended to complete the course of Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet even if you feel better, as it is an antibiotic. Leaving it in between may lead to even severe infection that will, in fact, stop responding to the antibiotic as well (antibiotic resistance).

Avoid taking iron supplements, calcium supplements, multivitamins, laxatives or antacids along with Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet. Maintain a gap of two hours between Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet and other medicines. However, consult your doctor before taking Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet with other medicines.

Xtadox LB 100mg Tablet contains doxycycline, which might make you sunburn more easily. Wear protective clothing, sunglasses and sunscreen whilst going outside.
