Acnelak CLZ Cream belongs to the group of medicines known as ‘anti-acne’ used to treat acne (pimples) and kill bacteria, causing acne. Acne is a common skin condition and occurs when hair follicles are blocked with dead skin cells and oil. The acne-causing bacteria feeds on sebum (natural oil produced by skin) causing redness and swelling.

Acnelak CLZ Cream is a combination of two drugs: Clindamycin (antibiotic) and Zinc acetate. Clindamycin belongs to the class of antibiotics that inhibits the production of essential proteins that are necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thereby, stops or slows down the growth of bacteria and clears acne. Additionally, Zinc oxide has the ability to protect healthy cells from harmful toxins, so in combination with Clindamycin, it helps to clear acne.

Use Acnelak CLZ Cream as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Acnelak CLZ Cream for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience skin peeling, dry skin, pain, redness, itching or burning sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects of Acnelak CLZ Cream do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are known to be allergic to Acnelak CLZ Cream or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Do not apply Acnelak CLZ Cream to cuts, open wounds, broken, sunburnt or sensitive skin areas. Avoid sun exposure while using Acnelak CLZ Cream as it may make the skin more sensitive to sunlight and cause sunburn. Wear protective clothing and use sunscreen while going out to protect your skin from sunburn. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before taking Acnelak CLZ Cream.

Clindamycin present in Acnelak CLZ Cream is a powerful antibiotic that treats inflammatory acne. It reduces the number of bacterial acne and makes acne less swollen and red. Acnelak CLZ Cream works well for treating stubborn to inflamed acne. Adding zinc acetate with Clindamycin helps to give results faster. It also helps to treat and prevent antibiotic-resistant bacteria from developing.

If you have been suggested to use Acnelak CLZ Cream for acne, then you should use it as suggested by your dermatologists before expecting complete results. However, you may notice some new pimples during the initial weeks of treatment, so do not stop applying for the medicine. Just keep using the medicine for the prescribed time limit. You are recommended not to use Acnelak CLZ Cream for more than 12 weeks at once. Do not apply Acnelak CLZ Cream in large amounts or use for a long time than prescribed as it does not give quick or better results but increases the risk of side effects such as redness, irritation, skin peeling or discomfort. If you have intestine problems, ulcerative colitis (inflammation and sores in the digestive tract) or if you ever had severe diarrhea caused by any antibiotic medicine, please inform your doctor before taking Acnelak CLZ Cream.
