Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet

Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet is a combination medicine used to treat neuropathic pain. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to damaged sensory nerves. Symptoms include spontaneous, untriggered pain, unpleasant feeling, shooting, burning or stabbing pain, difficulty resting or sleeping and evoked pain (pain caused by events that are usually not painful). Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet may be used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy, drug-induced neuropathy, alcoholic neuropathy, and trigeminal neuralgia.

Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet contains Gabapentin (anti-convulsant), methylcobalamin (vitamin B12), and alpha-lipoic acid (antioxidant). Gabapentin modulates calcium channel activity of the brain cells, thereby decreasing pain. Methylcobalamin helps rejuvenate and protect damaged nerve cells by producing a substance called myelin. Alpha-lipoic acid helps provide a protective effect on the nerve tissues and brain. Together, Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet helps provide relief from neuropathic pain caused due to nerve damage and other neurological disorders. 
 
Take Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet with or without food. Swallow Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet as a whole with a glass of water; do not chew, or break the tablet. You are advised to take Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, tiredness, nausea and vomiting. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Consult your doctor before starting Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet may cause drowsiness and dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Limited information is available regarding the usage of Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet in children; please consult a doctor. Avoid consuming alcohol along with Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness and sleepiness. Do not take Alfagaba 100Mg Tablet if you are allergic to any of its contents. Inform your doctor if you have heart problems or bipolar syndrome, nervous system disorders or are older than 65. Consult your doctor if you are on haemodialysis and experience muscle pain or weakness, persistent stomach pain, nausea or vomiting. Notify your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
