AMIUR 5MG TABLET belongs to the class of medicines known as 'diuretic drugs or water pills', used with other diuretics to treat hypertension (high blood pressure) and oedema (fluid overload). Hypertension is a medical condition in which the blood exerts high pressure (force exerted by circulating blood) against blood vessel's walls. AMIUR 5MG TABLET is used alone or in combination with other antidiuretic medicines for treating the condition.

AMIUR 5MG TABLET contains Amiloride, which belongs to the class of potassium-sparing diuretics. It works by blocking sodium-potassium exchange in the distal tubule of the nephron (functional unit of the kidney).

AMIUR 5MG TABLET may cause certain side effects like nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, headache, glucose intolerance, weakness, muscle cramps, electrolyte imbalance, and increased uric acid levels in the blood. This medicine contains Amiloride, which belongs to the class of potassium-sparing diuretics.
