About Anafortan Drops
Anafortan Drops belongs to the class of drugs called 'anticholinergics', used to control sudden muscle contractions (spasms). It relieves abdominal cramps, pain, discomfort and bloating. A muscle spasm is an involuntary contraction of a muscle that can be painful.
Anafortan Drops contains Camylofin, which works by blocking the activity of certain natural substances in the body responsible for causing pain. Also, it relaxes the muscles in the stomach to relieve sudden muscle contractions. Thus, it effectively reduces abdominal pain.
Anafortan Drops is for paediatric use only. Give Anafortan Drops to children as advised by the doctor. Anafortan Drops may cause some common side effects such as irregular heartbeat, dryness in the mouth, excessive thirst, difficulty in urination, constipation or flushing (sense of warmth in the ears, face, neck and trunk). Most of the side effects of do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your paediatrician.
If your child developed allergic reactions to Camylofin or its components, stop using Anafortan Drops and consult your doctor. Always keep your doctor informed about the ongoing medications or the ones your child has taken in the past, including over-the-counter medicines and herbal medicines. Inform the doctor if your child has ulcerative colitis (inflammation and ulcers in the digestive tract), overactive thyroid, or obstructive airway disease.
