Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection contains 'Fluphenazine' that belongs to the class of phenothiazines. It works by affecting the balance of the neurotransmitters in the brain. Thereby, Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection decreases psychotic symptoms like hallucinations, delusions, and hostility (unfriendly or opposed behaviour) associated with schizophrenia. Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection is intended for use in the management of patients requiring prolonged parenteral antipsychotic therapy.

Common side effects of Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection include lethargy/tiredness, drowsiness, headache, dizziness, blurred vision, nausea, loss of appetite, dry mouth, constipation, stuffy nose, sweating, weight changes, and pain/redness/swelling at the injection site. Do not drive or operate machinery since it can make you sleepy and interfere with your driving ability. Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection is not approved for children younger than 12 years of age.

Anatensol Decanoate 25mg Injection is not recommended for children below 12 years of age as safety and effectiveness have not been established.
