BE TD Vaccine is not meant to treat diphtheria or tetanus infection.
BE TD Vaccine contains 'Diphtheria toxoid and Tetanus toxoid.' When injected into the muscle, it works by exposing the body to a small dose of bacteria or a protein from the bacteria. Thereby, it helps in providing immunity or resistance against diphtheria and tetanus diseases.
BE TD Vaccine will be injected into the muscle by a healthcare professional. Common side effects of BE TD Vaccine fever, crying, and loss of appetite. These side effects are not familiar to everyone and vary individually. If you notice any side effects that are not manageable, please consult your doctor.
Inform your doctor beforehand if you or your child has a history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines (paralysis, encephalopathy), immune system disorders like Guillain-Barre syndrome, HIV infection, high fever, cancers like leukaemia/lymphoma, and fits. It is essential to let your doctor know if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or a breastfeeding mother. The paediatric version of BE TD Vaccine is recommended for children from 6 weeks through 6 years of age. BE TD Vaccine contains diphtheria and tetanus toxoids. When injected into the muscle, BE TD Vaccine releases a small dose of bacteria or protein of bacteria in the body, which further provides immunity against diphtheria and tetanus diseases.
BE TD Vaccine should be used with caution in the medical history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines (paralysis, encephalopathy), immune system disorders like Guillain-Barre syndrome, HIV infection, high fever, cancers like leukaemia/lymphoma, and fits. Please let your doctor know if your child has any other medical problems before starting BE TD Vaccine .
If your child misses a booster dose, take the next dose as soon as possible. Please be sure that your child receives all the recommended doses of the paediatric version of BE TD Vaccine since your child is not fully protected until he/she receives the complete scheduled series of shots.
If your child has shown a severe allergic reaction after the first shot, he/she should not get the booster doses since it can be life-threatening. Please consult your doctor for more information.
You can take other vaccines along with BE TD Vaccine if you do not have any allergic reactions. If you are taking other vaccines and BE TD Vaccine , they should be given by separate syringes and at different injection sites.
BE TD Vaccine is to be stored in cold places at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze the vial.
