About Botropase Injection 1 ml

Botropase Injection 1 ml belongs to the group of haemostatic agents used to prevent bleeding in conditions such as oral bleeding, pulmonary bleeding, traumatic bleeding, postoperative bleeding, and other external and internal haemorrhages. It is a snake-venom based enzymatic mixture.

Botropase Injection 1 ml contains ''Haemocoagulase (Bothrops atrox)'' which is a haemostatic (meaning blood-stopping). It promotes blood clumping and coagulation and thereby effectively controlling bleeding.

Botropase Injection 1 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. Botropase Injection 1 ml may cause certain common side effects like pain, swelling, and redness at the site of injection. Botropase Injection 1 ml is used to treat bleeding in medical and surgical scenarios. Clinically, it is used to control bleeding in dental, gynaecological, oral and maxillofacial scenarios. It also finds use in the treatment of pulmonary haemorrhage. Botropase Injection 1 ml contains Haemocoagulase (Bothrops atrox) which is a hemostatic (meaning blood-stopping) enzyme. It exerts thrombin and thromboplastin-like effect on the process of blood clotting, promoting blood clumping and coagulation. Thereby effectively controlling bleeding. The thrombin acts on serum fibrinogen and converts it into stronger fibrin chains which basically help tighten and retract clots, thereby arresting bleeding and promoting wound healing.
