FAQs

Calcimax ISO Capsule contains Calcitriol, Calcium carbonate and Soya isoflavones. Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 and treats calcium deficiency. It raises the Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach. Calcium carbonate is a mineral that is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Soya isoflavones work by improving the health of the heart and strengthen bones in postmenopausal women.

You are not recommended to take Calcimax ISO Capsule if you have hypercalcemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) as it may worsen the condition. However, the levels of calcium and vitamin D may be checked before starting treatment with Calcimax ISO Capsule .

Calcimax ISO Capsule may cause hypercalciuria (excess calcium in the urine) if used in excess doses. Therefore, to prevent such condition, take Calcimax ISO Capsule in doses and for the duration as advised by a doctor.

You are not recommended to take Calcimax ISO Capsule with levothyroxine as co-administration of these two medicines at the same time may reduce the effectiveness of levothyroxine. However, if you are supposed to take both the medicines, you are advised to maintain a time gap of a minimum of 4 hours between taking Calcimax ISO Capsule and levothyroxine.

Calcimax ISO Capsule is not recommended for patients having kidney stones as it may worsen the condition. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have kidney stones or any other kidney problems before taking Calcimax ISO Capsule .

About Calcimax ISO Capsule

Calcimax ISO Capsule belongs to the class of medicines called dietary supplements used to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones). Postmenopause is a condition in which women have not had a period of 12 months or longer. Osteoporosis is a bone disease that weakens and thins bones by decreasing bone density which is common in post-menopausal women. As the density of bones decreases, they weaken and are more likely to break.

Calcimax ISO Capsule is a combination of three drugs: Calcitriol (a form of vitamin D3), Calcium carbonate (mineral), and Soya isoflavones.  Calcitriol is a man-made form of Vitamin D3 and treats calcium deficiency. It raises Vitamin D levels and thereby increases calcium levels in the blood. This helps in improving the absorption rate of calcium from the stomach. Calcium carbonate is a mineral that is used to prevent or treat a calcium deficiency. It provides essential nutrients to maintain bone formation. Soy isoflavones work by improving the health of the heart and strengthen bones in postmenopausal women.

Take Calcimax ISO Capsule as instructed by your doctor. In some cases, you may experience constipation or flatulence (gas). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Calcimax ISO Capsule or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before taking Calcimax ISO Capsule . Calcimax ISO Capsule is not recommended for children below 18 years of age. Calcimax ISO Capsule is contraindicated in patients on a low-sodium diet. You are recommended to avoid using other vitamin D preparations with Calcimax ISO Capsule . Drive only if you are alert after taking Calcimax ISO Capsule .
