Directions for Use
Medicinal Benefits
Cartigen Capsule is used to treat mild to moderate osteoarthritis. Cartigen Capsule contains Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride, a chondroprotective (chondros meaning cartilage) agent. Cartigen Capsule thus works by contributing to the production of bone-protecting cartilage. It stimulates the synthesis of proteoglycan- a very essential material for cartilage production. In addition, Cartigen Capsule exerts anti-inflammatory action and slows down cartilage destruction. Thus, Cartigen Capsule is responsible for relieving the joints of swelling. By producing cartilage, Cartigen Capsule cushions bones and joints and provides pain relief.
Uses of Cartigen Capsule
About Cartigen Capsule
Cartigen Capsule belongs to the group of proteoglycan synthesis stimulators primarily used in the treatment of osteoarthritis. Osteoarthritis is a condition in which the joints are affected. It occurs as a result of the disintegration and breakdown of the cushioning tissue and cartilage surrounding the joints. Pain, redness and swelling in the joints of the hands, knees, hips and lower limbs are common symptoms.
Cartigen Capsule contains Glucosamine Sulfate Potassium Chloride, a chondroprotective agent that alleviates the pain and swelling occurring in joints and muscles by stimulating the production of proteoglycans, a necessary component required to synthesize bone-shielding cartilage. Thereby, Cartigen Capsule cushions bones and joints and provides pain relief.
Take Cartigen Capsule as advised. In some cases, Cartigen Capsule may cause certain common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea or constipation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your physician if these side effects persist or worsen.
Avoid using Cartigen Capsule if allergic to it. Cartigen Capsule is not recommended for use in case of shellfish allergy. Take Cartigen Capsule with caution if you have/had kidney disease, diabetes, asthma or hypertension. Consult your physician if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or breastfeeding.
