Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet belongs to a class of medication called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections of the urinary tract, blood, bones, joints, heart, lungs, brain, chest, ears, skin, or soft tissues. A bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet does not work against infections caused by the virus.

Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet contains Cefuroxime (antibiotic) and Lactobacillus (probiotic). Cefuroxime works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing bacteria. Lactobacillus helps to restore good bacteria in the intestines. Thereby, it prevents diarrhoea and loss of beneficial bacteria due to the prolonged intake of antibiotics.

You are advised to take Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet may cause side effects like nausea, vomiting, bloating, diarrhoea, allergic reaction, and increased liver enzymes. Most of these side effects of Ceftokit-L 250 Tablet do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.
