Closupp 100mg Suppository belongs to the class of medications known as antifungals, primarily used to treat vaginal thrush (candidiasis). Vaginal thrush (candidiasis) is an infection of the vagina and/or vulva caused by candida.
Closupp 100mg Suppository comprises clotrimazole that works by destroying the fungus that causes the infection. Closupp 100mg Suppository eliminates the infection by causing holes in the fungal cell membrane and allows the components to leak out, thus killing the fungus.
Use Closupp 100mg Suppository as recommended by the physician. In some cases, Closupp 100mg Suppository may cause abdominal pain, vulvovaginal pain, nausea, and application site reactions including itching, burning sensation, and irritation. These side effects of Closupp 100mg Suppository eventually subside without medical intervention. Consult your doctor immediately if any side effects worsen or persist.
Do not use Closupp 100mg Suppository if you are hypersensitive or allergic to any of its components. Closupp 100mg Suppository is for vaginal use only. Do not swallow. If you are pregnant, planning to have a baby, or are a nursing mother, you should not use Closupp 100mg Suppository without a doctor's advice. Tampons and other vaginal products should not be used while on treatment with Closupp 100mg Suppository. Avoid using Closupp 100mg Suppository during the menstrual period (menses); wait until menses is over.
