Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml contains two medicines namely: Chlorpheniramine maleate (anti-histamine/anti-allergic) and Phenylephrine (decongestant). Chlorpheniramine maleate blocks the release of histamine in the body, which is known to cause allergic symptoms. On the other hand, Phenylephrine helps shrink the blood vessels in the nasal passage, thereby reducing the stuffy nose. Together, Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml effectively reduces allergic symptoms.

Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml can be taken with or without food in a dose and duration as advised by the doctor. The duration of Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml will depend upon your condition. The most common side effects of Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml are drowsiness, dizziness, headache, dry mouth/nose/throat, upset stomach, constipation, or trouble sleeping. Most of these side effects of Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects are persistent, reach out to your doctor.

Inform your doctor if you are allergic to any of the components of Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml. Please tell your doctor before starting Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml if you have a liver problem, are pregnant, or breastfeeding. Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml may cause drowsiness and sleepiness, so it is advised not to drive or operate machinery. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided as it may lead to excessive drowsiness and sleepiness. Do not take Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml with any MAO inhibitor (anti-depressant medication) as it may lead to serious drug interaction.

Inform your doctor if you have cardiovascular disease, asthma, kidney or liver disease, diabetes, glaucoma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, benign prostatic hyperplasia. Also, inform your doctor about all other medications you have taken before starting Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml. Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml may cause drowsiness and sleepiness, so it is advised not to drive or operate machinery unless you are alert. Consumption of alcohol should be avoided as it may lead to excessive drowsiness and sleepiness. If you are due to undergo any surgery, please inform your doctor that you are taking Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml as it should not be taken during surgery. Do not take Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml if you have taken an MAO inhibitor (anti-depressant medication) in the past 14 days.

• It is advised to avoid contact with known allergens (allergy-causing agents) such as pollen, dust, etc. It might help reduce the severity of your symptoms.
• Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml may interfere with certain lab tests like brain scan for Parkinson's disease, and urine drug screening tests. So before undergoing these tests please let the doctor know that you are taking Coldant-AF Syrup 60 ml.
