Co Mupimet Particles is a dermatological antibiotic medication, primarily used to treat bacterial skin infections, impetigo, rosacea, and bacterial vaginal infection (bacterial vaginosis). Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade and affects the tissues of the skin. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Impetigo is a contagious (spread by contact) infection that causes red sores on the face. Rosacea is a skin disease that causes redness, flushing, and pimples on the face.

Co Mupimet Particles is composed of two antibiotics: Mupirocin and Metronidazole. Mupirocin is an antibacterial drug. It prevents the synthesis of essential proteins required by bacteria to carry out its vital functions, thus preventing bacterial growth. Metronidazole belongs to the class of drugs called nitroimidazole antimicrobials. It exerts bactericidal (kills bacteria) action and inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis and cell growth.

Common side effects of Co Mupimet Particles include itching, burning sensation, irritation and redness at the application site. Rinse it off with water thoroughly if you get the medicine accidentally in these areas. Avoid applying Co Mupimet Particles on sunburns, lesions, blisters, and open wounds. Cover the affected areas with a dressing or bandage only if the doctor advised you to do so. Co Mupimet Particles is not recommended for use in diaper rash, which is often caused due to fungus. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you should use Co Mupimet Particles only with proper doctor consultation and caution. Do not store Co Mupimet Particles above 25°C.
