Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension belongs to a class of drugs called antibiotics used to treat bacterial infections such as pneumonia (infection of lung tissue), bronchitis, throat infections including pharyngitis and tonsillitis, otitis media (middle ear infections), sinusitis (infection of the sinuses), skin and soft tissue infections, bladder and kidney infections. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension does not work against infections, flu or cold symptoms caused by the virus.

Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension contains Cefaclor, an antibiotic that works by interfering with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing the bacterial cell. Thus, it prevents the growth of bacterial infection. 

Use Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to use Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for your child based on their medical condition. Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension may cause side effects such as vomiting, nausea, diarrhoea, weakness or itching. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or bother your child, please consult your doctor.

If your child is allergic to Cefaclor, penicillins or any other medicines, please tell the doctor. Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension should be used in children above 1 month in doses as prescribed by a doctor only. If your child has severe kidney problems, inform your doctor before using Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension. You are recommended to complete the full course of Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension as prescribed by the doctor, even if your child feels better after a few days.

Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension interferes with the formation of the bacterial cell wall (a protective covering) necessary for their survival. Thereby damaging the bacterial cell wall and killing bacteria.

Granules for Suspension: Check the label for directions before use. Boil water, and allow it to cool. Slowly add cooled water up to the arrow mark on the label. Shake vigorously. Adjust the volume up to the mark by adding more water if necessary. This makes 30 ml of the suspension. Shake the bottle well before use and give the prepared suspension to your child as advised by the doctor. The constituted suspension should be consumed within 1 week of preparation. Store constituted suspension in a refrigerator.

If your child is about to undergo blood or urine tests, inform the doctor that your child is taking Distaclor 125 Strawberry Flavour Suspension as it may interfere with these tests.
