Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR contains Dexrabeprazole and Domperidone. Dexrabeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid. Domperidone works by increasing the movements and contractions of stomach muscles. Together, Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR helps in treating acidity.
Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR. Drink enough fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you have severe diarrhoea or if you find blood in stools.
Avoid lying down immediately after meals to prevent acid reflux. Raise the head of the bed 10-20cm by putting a pillow so that the head and chest are above the waist. This helps in preventing acid reflux.
Dry mouth could be a side-effect of Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR. Limiting caffeine intake, avoiding smoking and mouthwashes containing alcohol, drinking water regularly, and chewing sugar-free gum/candy might help stimulate saliva and thereby prevents drying of the mouth.
Do not take Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR for longer durations unless prescribed by the doctor. Consult your doctor if your condition does not improve even after taking Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR for 14days.
On long-term treatment, Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR might increase the risk of bone fracture in the spine, wrist or hip. Inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis or if you are taking corticosteroids, as they can increase the risk of bone fractures.

Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR belongs to a group of medicines called gastrointestinal agents used to treat acidity, heartburn, gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD), Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, nausea, vomiting, dyspepsia (indigestion), and peptic ulcers. The stomach is usually protected from the acid by a mucous layer. In some cases, due to excess acid production, the mucous layer gets eroded, which leads to acidity-related problems.
Dxzol D 30mg/10mg Capsule SR is a combination of two drugs, namely: Dexrabeprazole (proton pump inhibitor) and Domperidone (a dopamine antagonist). Dexrabeprazole works by blocking the action of an enzyme called gastric proton pump, which is responsible for the production of acid.
