Embriz-L Injection belongs to a group of medicines called 'prokinetics and antipsychotics' used to treat gastrointestinal problems like dyspepsia (indigestion), nausea, vomiting and diabetic gastro-paresis when oral therapy is not advisable/feasible. Additionally, Embriz-L Injection may also be used to treat psychosis, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, vertigo, Tourette’s syndrome, dizziness, irritable bowel syndrome, heartburn, peptic ulcers, and gastro-oesophageal reflux disease (GERD).

Embriz-L Injection contains 'Levosulpiride', which enhances the contractions in the gut and stomach emptying. Thereby improves food movement through the gastrointestinal tract and treats disorders related to the stomach and intestines. Besides this, Embriz-L Injection also works by interfering with the activity of dopamine in the brain, thus improving mood.

Embriz-L Injection will be administered by a qualified healthcare professional; do not self-administer. In some cases, Embriz-L Injection may cause side effects such as abdominal pain, drowsiness, constipation, weight gain, unusual tiredness and weakness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you have gastrointestinal obstruction or perforation. Embriz-L Injection is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Embriz-L Injection may cause drowsiness, so drive only if you are alert. Avoid consuming alcohol with Embriz-L Injection as it could lead to increased drowsiness. Keep your doctor informed about your medications and health condition to rule out any side effects/interactions.

Do not take Embriz-L Injection if you are allergic to any of its components; if you have pheochromocytoma (tumour in the adrenal glands), mania, epilepsy, pituitary gland prolactinoma (tumour of the pituitary gland), breast cancer, or porphyria (blood disorder). Inform your doctor if you have/had gastrointestinal bleeding, mechanical blockage/perforations, cerebrovascular problems, heart, kidney, or liver problems. Embriz-L Injection is not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Embriz-L Injection may cause drowsiness; therefore, caution should be exercised while driving or operating machinery.
