Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's

Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's is a combination medicine used for treating female infertility. It helps in maintaining the hormonal balance in the body and improving pregnancy rates by its endocrinal stimulation of egg cells. Female infertility is a condition in which a woman is unable to conceive despite frequent unprotected sex for at least a year, due to a lack of natural progesterone. 

Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's contains 'Dehydroepiandrosterone and Folic acid'. Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's treats infertility by enhancing the success rate of pregnancy and conception through mechanisms such as follicle stimulation, promoting healthy egg cell production and eliminating defunct ova. Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's is also a potent antioxidant and is useful in promoting overall health, nutrition, and well-being.

Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's may be taken with or without food. Swallow it as a whole with water. In some cases, Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's may cause certain common side effects such as oily skin, mood change and sweating. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if these side effects persist. 

Inform the doctor if you are allergic to any of the components of Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's. Proceed with caution if you have a history or are suffering from breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometriosis, fibroids or polycystic ovaries. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant, or if you are breastfeeding. Avoid consumption of alcohol with Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's.

Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's is used to improve fertility rates in conjunction with IVF. It is also used to treat symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, osteoporosis and mood swings. Dehydroepiandrosterone helps in follicular stimulation, thus promoting healthy egg cell production and bettering the chances of pregnancy. Folic acid is very important in the production of new and healthy blood cells. Folic acid acts as a promoter in the manufacturing of mood-lifting hormones Serotonin, Dopamine and Norepinephrine, which are responsible for regulating mood and helping combat depression. Additionally, it is vital in the maintenance of foetal growth and development and thus an essential element in pregnancy.  In conjunction, Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's is hence used to treat infertility and mood changes related to hormonal imbalance.

Drug-Drug Interactions: Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's may interact with antidepressants and mood stabilisers (lithium, fluoxetine, sertraline, citalopram, paroxetine), antipsychotics (olanzapine, clozapine, chlorpromazine), hormones (oestrogen, testosterone), insulin, antacids, chemotherapy (fluorouracil), anti-IBD drugs (sulfasalazine), anti-TB drugs (rifampicin, rifabutin), antifungals (fluconazole, itraconazole), antibiotics (trimethoprim, cotrimoxazole) and cholesterol-reducing drugs (cholestyramine).

Drug-Disease Interactions: Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's should be used with caution in patients with a known hypersensitivity disorder, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometriosis, fibroids, polycystic ovaries, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, established liver disease, kidney disease, tumours, head and neck cancers or pernicious anaemia. Avoid Fertimic-SR Tablet 10's if you are undergoing haemodialysis or are receiving a coronary stent.

• Reducing weight and having a healthy BMI is very important to improve fertility.
• Avoid smoking to improve fertility. 
• For better fertility, avoid caffeine and caffeinated drinks.
• Eat foods rich in antioxidants like zinc and folate and cut down on carbs. Increase your fibre intake.

Female Infertility: Female infertility is defined as the inability to get pregnant despite frequent unprotected sex for one year at least (or 6 months, if 35 years of age).
