FAQs

Fumon Cream contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. Such substances are released normally when the skin reacts to any allergens.

No, Fumon Cream is not used to treat diaper rash as it makes mometasone pass through the skin easily and causes unwanted effects. Please consult a doctor if you have any concerns regarding the use of Fumon Cream for children.

You are recommended to use Fumon Cream on the face only if advised by your doctor and not use it for more than five days on the face as the skin thins easily. Avoid the use of plaster or bandages on the treated areas of the face.

About Fumon Cream

Fumon Cream belongs to the class of medicines called ‘corticosteroids’ used to reduce inflammation (swelling), itchiness and redness caused by certain skin problems called dermatitis or psoriasis. Dermatitis is a common skin condition associated with dry, itchy, or swollen skin. Psoriasis is a condition in which skin cells multiply faster than normal, resulting in white scales and itchy, dry patches.

Fumon Cream contains Mometasone, a potent corticosteroid that works by acting inside skin cells and inhibiting the release of certain inflammatory substances in the body that cause redness, itching, and swelling. When the skin reacts to any allergens, such substances are released normally.

Use Fumon Cream as prescribed. You are advised to use Fumon Cream for as long as your doctor has recommended it based on your condition. Fumon Cream is for external use only. Some people may experience inflamed hair follicles, acne, thinning of the skin, itching, stinging, tingling or burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

Please tell your doctor if you are allergic to Mometasone or other medicines.  If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please inform your doctor before using Fumon Cream. Fumon Cream is not recommended for children for long-term use as it may lead to slow growth. Contact your doctor immediately if you notice vision changes after using Fumon Cream.
