Furomom-S Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone furoate and Salicylic acid. Mometasone furoate is a corticosteroid that reduces skin inflammation and its symptoms. Salicylic acid enhances Mometasone furoate's activity and helps remove dead cells, and softens the skin.

Furomom-S Ointment is for topical use only. It should not be applied to the face for more than five days. Do not apply it to larger areas of the skin. Do not cover the treated area with a bandage or plaster, especially the face, without checking with your doctor. Do not use the medicine in and around your eyes. Rinse with water thoroughly if the medicine accidentally gets into your eyes, nose, mouth, or genitals.

Furomom-S Ointment may raise blood glucose levels by suppressing insulin (a hormone essential for glucose utilization) secretion, so patients with diabetes should consult a doctor before using Furomom-S Ointment.

Furomom-S Ointment might improve your symptoms within the first two weeks of your treatment. However, if there is no improvement in your condition, consult your doctor.

About Furomom-S Ointment

Furomom-S Ointment belongs to the ‘dermatological agents’ class primarily used to treat skin diseases such as eczema and psoriasis. Eczema is a condition in which skin becomes red, itchy, and inflamed due to external agents such as soaps, dyes, or other irritants. Psoriasis is an autoimmune (immune system attacks healthy cells) skin disorder in which the skin becomes scaly, swelled up, and itchy.

Furomom-S Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone furoate and Salicylic acid. Mometasone furoate blocks prostaglandin production (chemical messengers) that cause inflammatory symptoms such as red, swollen, and itchy rashes. Salicylic acid breaks down the clumps of keratin (protein present on the skin), removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It enhances the absorption of Mometasone furoate. It also acts as an anti-inflammatory and topical antibacterial agent.

Furomom-S Ointment is available for topical use (for skin). You should use this medicine as prescribed by your doctor. Furomom-S Ointment may cause common side effects like itching, dryness, redness, irritation, and burning sensation at the application site. These side effects usually do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if you notice any other symptoms or the side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.

Do not use Furomom-S Ointment if you are allergic to any of its components. Furomom-S Ointment is a combination of two medicines: Mometasone furoate and Salicylic acid. It is a keratolytic medicine (softens, separates, and peels the skin layer), which breaks down the clumps of keratin, removes dead skin cells, and softens the skin. It is also an anti-inflammatory and topical antibacterial agent.

Directions for Use

Gently rinse the affected area with water before applying Furomom-S Ointment. Pat the skin and dry it with a clean cotton towel. Apply a generous amount of Furomom-S Ointment and spread it evenly on the affected areas of the skin. You can apply Furomom-S Ointment with a piece of clean cotton wool or gauze swab. Wash your hands before and after using Furomom-S Ointment on the affected areas unless the treatment is for hands.
