About Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution

Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution is indicated in the temporary relief of corneal oedema. It may also be used for irrigation of the eye as required, including removal of harmful substances and first aid. Corneal oedema, also called corneal swelling, is a condition caused by the build-up of fluid in the cornea.

Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution contains Sodium chloride that works by drawing fluid out of the cornea. Thereby, Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution helps reduce swelling and may lessen irritation or eye discomfort caused by swelling.

In some cases, Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, redness, eye discomfort, and temporary blurred vision. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.

Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before using Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution. Avoid touching the tip of the container as it may contaminate the contents. Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution may cause temporary blurred vision; drive only if you have clear vision. Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes. Eye ointment/gel/cream: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Squeeze a tiny amount of the cream/ointment/gel into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.

Do not use Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have hurt your eye, if you have developed an eye infection, or if you are due to undergo eye surgery. Check with your doctor if your condition does not improve despite using Hypersol-5 Ophthalmic Solution for three days or if it worsens if you experience changes in vision, eye pain, continued redness or irritation.
