Ketanov 10 mg Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute postoperative pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, which causes uncomfortable sensations in the body.
 
Ketanov 10 mg Tablet contains 'ketorolac tromethamine', which works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain chemical messengers in the body, such as prostaglandins which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Thereby, Ketanov 10 mg Tablet helps provide relief from pain.
 
In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhoea, constipation, gas, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Avoid taking Ketanov 10 mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ketanov 10 mg Tablet should not be given to children below 16 years as safety and efficacy have not been established. Avoid consuming alcohol with Ketanov 10 mg Tablet as it could lead to increased dizziness; it might also increase the risk of stomach bleeding. Ketanov 10 mg Tablet can increase your risk of a fatal heart attack or stroke. So, if you have had any recent heart surgery, do not take Ketanov 10 mg Tablet . Inform your doctor if you have or had high blood pressure, heart problems, high cholesterol, diabetes, asthma, liver and kidney problems. Avoid taking Ketanov 10 mg Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Ketanov 10 mg Tablet may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert. Ketanov 10 mg Tablet is not recommended for children below 16 years as safety and effectiveness have not been established. Stop taking Ketanov 10 mg Tablet and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach, such as blood in stools. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with Ketanov 10 mg Tablet unless prescribed.
