Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml contains two antibiotics, Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin. It is used to treat bacterial eye infections. Tobramycin inhibits the production of essential proteins necessary for bacteria to grow, multiply and increase in numbers. Thus, destroys bacteria. Moxifloxacin inhibits DNA gyrase (bacterial enzyme) involved in repairing and replicating bacteria's DNA (genetic material). Thus, kills bacteria and clears the infection.

You should wash your hands first, tilt your head back, and gently pull the lower eyelid downwards. Then, squeeze the bottle gently by holding it upside down to instil the number of drops into the affected eye as advised by your doctor without touching the tip of the bottle to the eye or surrounding areas in order to avoid contamination. Finally, replace the cap tightly after use. After applying Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml, you are advised to close your eyes for a minimum of 2 to 3 minutes, and pressure should be applied to the corner of the eye by pressing a finger to stop eye drops from spreading into the rest of the body.

You are not recommended to wear contact lenses while using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml. You are advised to remove contact lenses before applying Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml and reinsert after 15 minutes of using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml. Also, inform your doctor if you experience pain, stinging or abnormal sensation in the eye after using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml.

Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml may cause temporary blurred vision immediately after applying. Therefore, you are recommended to wait until your vision is clear before driving or operating machinery.

Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is not used to treat fungal infection in the eye. Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is only used to treat bacterial eye infections.

You are not recommended to stop using Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml without consulting your doctor as it may worsen the infection. Therefore, use Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml for as long as your doctor has prescribed it, and if you experience any difficulty while taking Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml, please consult your doctor.

Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml belongs to ophthalmic eye medications primarily used to treat bacterial eye infections. Conjunctivitis (pink eye) is a common bacterial infection associated with the inflammation or infection of the conjunctiva (white part of the eye) and the inner eyelid. 

Moxitobra Eye Drops 5 ml is a combination of two antibiotics: Tobramycin and Moxifloxacin. Directions for Use
