FAQs

Moza Plus Capsule contains Mosapride and Pantoprazole. Mosapride works by increasing the movement of the food pipe (oesophagus), small intestine and stomach. Thereby, helps in preventing acid reflux and provides relief from hyperacidity and heartburn. Pantoprazole works by blocking the action of proton pumps that are involved in producing stomach acid. Thereby, it reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and prevents excess acid from flowing back into the food pipe.

Moza Plus Capsule may cause diarrhoea as a common side effect. However, if the condition persists or worsens with fever, watery or bloody stools or consistent stomach pain, please consult a doctor. Also, drink plenty of water while taking Moza Plus Capsule to prevent dehydration.

You are not recommended to take Moza Plus Capsule with antifungals such as ketoconazole or itraconazole as it may reduce the effectiveness of antifungal against fungal infections. However, please consult your doctor before taking Moza Plus Capsule with other medicines.

Moza Plus Capsule may cause low levels of magnesium in the blood if taken for more than 3 months. However, if you experience involuntary muscle contractions, tiredness fits, increased heart rate or dizziness while taking Moza Plus Capsule , please consult a doctor immediately as these might be signs of low magnesium levels.

Moza Plus Capsule should be used with caution in osteoporosis (weak and brittle bones) patients as it may worsen the condition, especially if Moza Plus Capsule is taken for more than 1 year as it increases the risk of fracture of the spine, hip or wrist. Therefore, inform your doctor if you have osteoporosis or if you are taking any steroids, which may increase the risk of osteoporosis.

About Moza Plus Capsule

Moza Plus Capsule belongs to a class of medication called gastrointestinal agents used to treat gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) occurs when stomach acid frequently flows back into the food pipe (oesophagus). Peptic ulcers are sores that develop on the inner lining of the intestine and stomach.

Moza Plus Capsule is a combination of two drugs, namely: Mosapride (gastroprokinetic agent) and Pantoprazole (proton pump inhibitor). Mosapride increases the movement of the food pipe (oesophagus), small intestine and stomach.  It enhances bowel movement and empties the digestive tract from food in a shorter time. Thereby, it helps in preventing acid reflux and provides relief from hyperacidity and heartburn. Pantoprazole works by blocking the action of proton pumps that are involved in producing stomach acid. Thereby, it reduces the amount of acid produced by the stomach and prevents excess acid from flowing back into the food pipe.

Take Moza Plus Capsule as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Moza Plus Capsule for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, stomach pain or dry mouth. Most of these side effects of Moza Plus Capsule do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Moza Plus Capsule or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Moza Plus Capsule is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, please consult a doctor before taking Moza Plus Capsule .  Moza Plus Capsule should be used with caution in elderly patients due to the increased risk of adverse effects. Drive only if you are alert as Moza Plus Capsule may cause dizziness or vision disturbances. Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase the production of stomach acid and worsen the symptoms.
