Navina JR Tablet belongs to the class of medications called “anti-emetics” primarily used to treat nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. It helps treat morning sickness (nauseous feeling during the first trimester) in pregnant women. Nausea is an uneasy feeling in which a person feels an urge to vomit, while vomiting is the body's natural response to discharge the stomach content forcefully.
Navina JR Tablet is a combination of two drugs, namely: Doxylamine succinate and Pyridoxal-5-phosphate (vitamin B6). Doxylamine succinate belongs to the class of antihistamines that works by blocking the natural chemical (histamine) in the body, thereby preventing nausea and vomiting. Pyridoxine/vitamin B6 deficiency may cause nausea and vomiting during pregnancy. Pyridoxal-5-phosphate works by increasing the level of vitamin B6 in the body and thus treating nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
