Norflox-200 Tablet is an antibiotic that treats bacterial infections. It inhibits the bacterial DNA gyrase enzyme required for DNA replication, transcription, and repair.

Norflox-200 Tablet can affect the live vaccines like typhoid and decrease effectiveness. Please ask your doctor if you can take Norflox-200 Tablet in case you are supposed to undergo any vaccinations.

It is recommended to complete the course even if you feel better as it is an antibiotic, and stopping it midway may lead to recurring infections. Hence, please continue taking Norflox-200 Tablet for as long as your doctor has prescribed.

About Norflox-200 Tablet

Norflox-200 Tablet belongs to the class of 'antibiotics', primarily used to treat bacterial infections. Bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria grow in the body and causes illness. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Norflox-200 Tablet is not recommended to treat viral infections, such as the common cold and flu.

Norflox-200 Tablet contains Norfloxacin and Lactic acid bacillus. Norfloxacin belongs to a class of drugs called quinolone antibiotics. It is bactericidal (kills bacteria) and works by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, an enzyme required for DNA replication, transcription, and repair. Lactic acid bacillus is a probiotic (live bacteria with health benefits) that restores good bacteria in the gut.

Take Norflox-200 Tablet as advised by a doctor. Norflox-200 Tablet may cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. Common side effects include nausea, heartburn, diarrhoea, dizziness, headache, and trouble sleeping. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. If these side effects persist longer, please consult your doctor.
