Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet belongs to a group of medicines called Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAID) indicated for the short-term management of moderate to severe acute postoperative pain. Pain is a symptom triggered by the nervous system, which causes uncomfortable sensations in the body.
 
Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet contains 'ketorolac tromethamine', which works by inhibiting the synthesis of certain chemical messengers in the body, such as prostaglandins which are responsible for causing pain and inflammation. Thereby, Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet helps provide relief from pain.
 
In some cases, you may experience common side effects such as nausea, vomiting, stomach upset, diarrhoea, constipation, gas, and dizziness. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Avoid taking Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet should not be given to children below 16 years as safety and efficacy have not been established. Using Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet together with piroxicam may increase the risk of side effects.

Taking Piroxicam with Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet is not recommended as it can cause an interaction, it can be taken if prescribed by the doctor. Diarrhoea might be a side-effect of Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet . Drink enough fluids and eat non-spicy food if you experience diarrhoea. Consult your doctor if you experience severe diarrhoea or if you find blood in stools.

Do not take any other pain killer medicines along with Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet unless prescribed, as it might lead to unpleasant side effects and can increase the risk of stomach bleeding associated with NSAIDs.

Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet is usually prescribed for less than 5 days. It should not be taken for longer durations. The lowest possible dose for the shortest duration is advised. Take Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet only for as long as your doctor has prescribed. Avoid taking Novagesic-Keto DT Tablet for longer durations as it might increase the risk of heart problems and stomach bleeding.
