Nuroplus-D3 Tablet is a combination medication indicated for the management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic neuropathy, post-herpetic neuralgia (damage to the nerve fibres during shingles infection), pain in fibromyalgia (musculoskeletal pain) or spinal cord injury. Neuropathic pain is a chronic progressive nerve disease that causes nerve pain due to nerve damage or a malfunctioning nervous system.
Nuroplus-D3 Tablet contains Pregabalin, Nortriptyline, Methylcobalamin, and Cholecalciferol. Pregabalin is an antiepileptic agent/anticonvulsant that affects the chemicals in the brain that send pain signals across the nervous system, thereby relieving nerve pain. Nortriptyline (antidepressant) works by increasing neurotransmitters (serotonin and noradrenaline) in the brain, thus reducing the pain signals in the brain. Mecobalamin/Methylcobalamin, a form of vitamin B12, regulates body functions, such as cell multiplication, blood formation, and protein synthesis. Cholecalciferol/Vitamin D3 promotes a neuroprotective effect and prevents the progression of nerve damage.
