Drug Warnings

Do not use Ocubion 6% Eye Ointment if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform your doctor if you have hurt your eye, if you have developed an eye infection, or if you are due to undergo eye surgery. Check with your doctor if your condition does not improve despite using Ocubion 6% Eye Ointment for three days or if it worsens if you experience changes in vision, eye pain, continued redness or irritation. Let your doctor know if you are taking other prescription/non-prescription medicines, herbal or vitamin/mineral supplements.

Directions for Use

Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye ointment/gel/cream: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Corneal oedema, also called corneal swelling, is a condition caused by the build-up of fluid in the cornea.
 
Ocubion 6% Eye Ointment contains Sodium chloride that works by drawing fluid out of the cornea. Thereby, Ocubion 6% Eye Ointment helps reduce swelling and may lessen irritation or eye discomfort caused by swelling.
 
In some cases, Ocubion 6% Eye Ointment may cause side effects such as a burning sensation, redness, eye discomfort, and temporary blurred vision.
