Ocutob Eye Drop belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.
Ocutob Eye Drop contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Ocutob Eye Drop treats bacterial eye infections.
Use Ocutob Eye Drop as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Ocutob Eye Drop are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Most of these side effects fade away gradually over time without the need for medical intervention. However, consult your doctor if you experience these side effects frequently.
Ocutob Eye Drop is for ophthalmic (eye) use only; do not inject or swallow. Do not use Ocutob Eye Drop if you are allergic to tobramycin, other aminoglycoside antibiotics, or any components in Ocutob Eye Drop. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, notify your doctor. Ocutob Eye Drop may temporarily blur your vision; therefore, wait until your vision is back to normal before using any machinery or driving.
