Offtex Infusion works by interfering with bacterial enzyme, DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Offtex Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection.

Offtex Infusion may be used to treat lung infections caused by bacteria. Offtex Infusion is an antibiotic that kills bacteria and prevents the spread of infection.

You are not recommended to take Offtex Infusion with warfarin as co-administration of these two medicines may increase the risk of bleeding more easily. However, please consult your doctor before taking Offtex Infusion with other medicines.

Offtex Infusion may cause diarrhoea as a common side effect. However, if the condition persists, worsens or if you notice blood or mucus in stools, consult a doctor immediately.

About Offtex Infusion

Offtex Infusion belongs to a class of medications called antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections of the urinary tract, genital tract, chest, lungs, skin, and soft tissue. Bacterial infection is a condition in which harmful bacteria grow in the body and cause infection. It can infect any part of the body and multiply very quickly. Offtex Infusion does not work against infections caused by a virus.

Offtex Infusion contains Ofloxacin that works by interfering with bacterial enzyme, DNA gyrase involved in repairing and replicating the DNA (genetic material) of bacteria. Thus, Offtex Infusion kills bacteria and clears the infection. 

Offtex Infusion will be administered by a healthcare professional. Do not self-administer. In some cases, you may experience redness, swelling or pain at the injection site, headache, nausea, and diarrhoea. Most of these side effects of Offtex Infusion do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor. 

If you are allergic to Ofloxacin or other antibiotics or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Certain fermented foods like cheese, yoghurt, kombucha, sauerkraut, and kimchi can help to restore the good bacteria in the intestine. 
  • Include fibre-rich foods, as they can be easily digested by gut bacteria, which helps stimulate their growth. Whole grains such as whole grain bread and, brown rice should be included in your diet. 
  • Make sure you drink plenty of water or other fluids every day while you are taking Offtex Infusion.
  • Avoid alcohol consumption as it may increase adverse effects.
