Onabet SD Solution contains Sertaconazole, and Mometasone. Sertaconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Mometasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, Onabet SD Solution helps in treating fungal skin infections.

Consult your doctor if you are diabetic as Onabet SD Solution contains Mometasone (steroid). Steroids can alter blood glucose levels. Regular monitoring of blood sugar levels is advised while using Onabet SD Solution.

Onabet SD Solution should not be used for longer durations unless prescribed by a doctor. If your condition does not improve despite using Onabet SD Solution for a month, consult your doctor, he/she may prescribe you an alternate medicine.

Avoid concomitant use of Onabet SD Solution with other topical products such as cosmetics, sunscreens, lotions, moisturisers, insect repellent creams, and other gels. Maintain a gap of 30 minutes between Onabet SD Solution and other topical products.

Do not cover the treated skin with dressings after applying Onabet SD Solution unless told by the doctor. Covering the skin can increase the amount of medicine absorbed through the skin leading to harmful effects.

Continue using Onabet SD Solution for as long as your doctor has prescribed it. Do not be reluctant to speak with your doctor if you experience any difficulty while using Onabet SD Solution.

About Onabet SD Solution

Onabet SD Solution is a combination medicine used to treat skin infections caused by fungi. Fungal infection is a skin disease in which a fungus attacks the tissue and causes infection. The symptoms of a fungal infection include scaly skin, blisters, itching, swelling, irritation and redness. 
 
Onabet SD Solution contains Sertaconazole (anti-fungal) and Mometasone (corticosteroid). Sertaconazole works by preventing the formation of fungal protective covering, thereby stops their growth. Mometasone works by inhibiting the release of chemical messengers that cause inflammation and redness. Together, Onabet SD Solution helps in treating fungal skin infections.
 
In some cases, you may experience certain common side-effects such as burning sensation, irritation, itching and redness at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.
 
Do not use Onabet SD Solution if you had a skin reaction or irritation to any steroid medicine. Consult your doctor before using Onabet SD Solution if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do not use Onabet SD Solution in more than prescribed doses or on a large area of skin for a longer duration unless advised by the doctor.
