Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml belongs to a group of medicines called anti-spasmodic agents used to treat smooth muscle spasms of the biliary tract, urinary tract, and gastrointestinal tract. It is also used to treat dysmenorrhea (painful periods) and severe spastic pain during labour. 

Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml contains 'Drotaverine', which works by relieving contractions associated with smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract, gall bladder, and urinary tract. Thus, it helps in relieving pain.

In some cases, Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml may cause side effects such as nausea, headache, dizziness, constipation, and vertigo (spinning sensation). Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if you experience these side effects persistently.

Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy before taking Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml. Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml is not recommended during breastfeeding. Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml can also be used in uncomplicated labour during the cervical dilation phase to shorten the dilation and overall labour duration.

Do not take Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml if you are allergic to any components. Inform your doctor if you have low blood pressure, porphyria (blood disorder), heart problems, or liver or kidney problems. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy. Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml is not recommended during breastfeeding and in children. Ozospas 20 mg Injection 2 ml may cause dizziness, so drive only if you are alert.
