It is used to treat typhoid fever and other dangerous infections where other antibiotics are ineffective. Bacterial infections are caused due to the multiplication of harmful bacteria inside or on the body. Paraxin 250 Capsule does not work against infections caused by viruses, including colds and flu.
 
Paraxin 250 Capsule contains ‘Chloramphenicol’ that works by preventing the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for vital bacterial functions. Thus, it kills the bacteria and helps treat and prevent the spread of infections. Paraxin 250 Capsule is a broad-spectrum antibiotic which is active against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.
 
The dose of Paraxin 250 Capsule can vary depending on your condition and the severity of the infection. In some cases, you may experience common side effects, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and headache. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
 
Do not take Paraxin 250 Capsule if you are allergic to any of its components or if you are pregnant, planning for pregnancy or breastfeeding.
