Pilnace Injection 1 ml belongs to the class of drugs called antipsychotics used in the treatment of schizophrenia. Also, it is used to control motor and speech tics of Tourette’s disorder. Schizophrenia affects the ability of a person to feel, think and behave clearly. Tourette's syndrome is a mental disorder characterized by uncontrollable, repetitive movements or unwanted sounds (tics). 

Pilnace Injection 1 ml contains Haloperidol which blocks the dopamine receptors in the brain, preventing its overactivity, thereby controlling psychotic illnesses and improving disturbed thoughts, behaviour and feelings in mental conditions such as schizophrenia.

Pilnace Injection 1 ml will be administered by a healthcare professional; do not self-administer. Sometimes, Pilnace Injection 1 ml may cause common side effects such as drowsiness, tremors, neck stiffness, nausea or vomiting, increased salivation, and weight gain. Most of these side effects of Pilnace Injection 1 ml do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Haloperidol or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, inform your doctor before receiving Pilnace Injection 1 ml. Pilnace Injection 1 ml is not recommended for children. Dose adjustment may be required for elderly or physically unwell patients. Avoid driving until your doctor says it is safe, as Pilnace Injection 1 ml may impair your physical or mental abilities required for driving. You are recommended to avoid alcohol consumption with Pilnace Injection 1 ml as it may increase the effects of alcohol.

• Elderly patients (more than 65 years of age) with dementia-related psychosis treated with Pilnace Injection 1 ml can be at an increased risk of death. 
• Pilnace Injection 1 ml is not approved for the treatment of patients with dementia-related psychosis.
