About Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm

Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm belongs to the class of aminoglycoside antibiotics. It is used for the treatment of bacterial eye infections. Bacterial eye infection occurs when harmful bacteria invade any eye part, such as the eyeball, conjunctiva, or cornea.

Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm contains tobramycin, an antibiotic that works by killing the infection-causing bacteria. Thus Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm treats bacterial eye infections.

Use Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm as prescribed by your doctor. The common side-effects of Saptob Eye Ointment 3 gm are eye irritation, feeling of having something in the eye, swollen/itchy eyelids, eye redness, increased tearing and inflammation of the cornea (clear front portion of your eye). Eye drops: Lie down and tilt your head backwards. Pull your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to form a pocket. Instil the number of drops advised by the doctor into the pocket of the lower eyelid. Close your eyes for 1-2 minutes.Eye cream/ointment: Lie down and tilt your head backwards.
