Sevista Tablet contains 'Ormeloxifene', a non-steroidal and non-hormonal oral contraceptive. It works by preventing the implantation of an egg on the wall of the uterus. Hence, it prevents unplanned pregnancies.

It is a common side effect of Sevista Tablet to get delayed or lighter period. If periods are delayed by 15 days, please do a pregnancy test. Lighter periods are not harmful as you may lose less haemoglobin every month and fewer iron stores in your body. Thus, you have a very slight chance of suffering from anaemia.
Sevista Tablet has shown a low effect for harmful interactions with other medicines. But co-administration with certain medicines (Tetracycline and Amoxycillin) has been shown to affect its efficacy. During antibiotic treatment, it is advisable to wear a condom to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
Sevista Tablet should not be used in patients with polycystic ovary syndrome, as the use of Sevista Tablet may worsen the condition. Consult your doctor for further advice.

Sevista Tablet contains medicine known as 'contraceptive', used to prevent unintended pregnancy. It is a non-hormonal and non-steroidal contraceptive with very few side effects.
