About Valcito Tablet 2's

Valcito Tablet 2's belongs to a class of drugs called antivirals used to treat cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection of the retina of the eye in adult AIDS patients. Also, Valcito Tablet 2's is used to prevent CMV infection in patients who received an organ transplant from a donor infected with CMV. Cytomegalovirus (CMV) retinitis is a viral infection of the retina (light-sensing cells) caused by cytomegalovirus.

Valcito Tablet 2's contains Valganciclovir which works by getting converted to ganciclovir in the body and inhibits the multiplication of the virus. Thereby, it helps to control the infection.  

Take Valcito Tablet 2's as prescribed by your doctor. You are advised to take Valcito Tablet 2's for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you based on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience diarrhea, loss of appetite, cough, headache, stomach pain, nausea, fever, tiredness, or sinusitis (sinus infection). Most of these side effects of Valcito Tablet 2's do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

If you are allergic to Valcito Tablet 2's or any other medicines, please tell your doctor. Avoid taking Valcito Tablet 2's if you are pregnant as it may cause birth defects. If you are breastfeeding, do not take Valcito Tablet 2's as it may be excreted in human milk and cause adverse effects in the baby. Women are recommended to use effective contraceptive measures while taking Valcito Tablet 2's and for 30 days after treatment with Valcito Tablet 2's. Directions for Use

Take Valcito Tablet 2's with food or as prescribed by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not break, crush or chew it.
