About Zerodol Gel
Zerodol Gel is a combination medicine used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Musculoskeletal pain could occur due to arthritis, osteoporosis, fractures, dislocations, problems with the bone structure or injury to the bones, joints, tendons, muscles, and ligaments. Osteoarthritis is a joint disease in which the two ends of the joints come together due to the breakdown of a protective covering called cartilage.
Zerodol Gel contains Aceclofenac, Methyl salicylate, Linseed oil, and Menthol. Aceclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation. Linseed oil helps in reducing inflammation. Menthol provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Zerodol Gel helps in providing relief from pain.
You are advised to use Zerodol Gel for as long as your doctor has prescribed it for you, depending on your medical condition. In some cases, you may experience common side-effects such as application site reactions like itching, irritation, redness, and burning sensation. Most of these side effects do not require medical attention and will resolve gradually over time. However, you are advised to talk to your doctor if the side effects persist or worsen.
Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Zerodol Gel is not recommended for children as safety and efficacy have not been established. Do not take any other NSAIDs for pain relief along with Zerodol Gel unless prescribed. Avoid using Zerodol Gel on damaged, wounded or open skin. Stop using Zerodol Gel and consult your doctor immediately if you have stomach pain or any signs of bleeding in the intestine or stomach, such as blood in stools.
Uses of Zerodol Gel
Key Benefits
Zerodol Gel contains Aceclofenac, Methyl salicylate, Linseed oil, and Menthol. Zerodol Gel is used to relieve pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal disorders, strain, sprain, arthritis, and low back pain. Aceclofenac and Methyl salicylate work by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make other chemical prostaglandins. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, lesser prostaglandins are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site. Linseed oil helps in reducing inflammation. Menthol provides a cooling sensation by dilating the blood vessels, followed by an analgesic effect. It also enhances the penetration of drugs. Together, Zerodol Gel helps in providing relief from pain and inflammation.
